Lakeside Baseball Club has been and will continue to be the premier training baseball and softball training facility in the Metro Detroit Area. Our full turf infield and batting cages offer the maximum in versatility for your training needs.
Lakeside is also home base to the Dirtbags Baseball Club. The Dirtbags have tournament teams for ages 7U to 16U. All teams benefit from Lakeside's professional baseball instructors, in addition to, recruiting excellent coaches. All the Dirtbags 12u teams play little league and supplement play with 3 tournaments during the Spring Season. Our 13U and above teams vary and may utilize both tournaments and MABF league play, or play only tournaments.
Lakeside Baseball hosted 14 teams last season and will continue to grow under the instruction of staff: Jason Hill, Kevin Schroeder, Carmen Benedetti, Digz Edwards and a host of premiere guest trainers. We compete in age and ability appropriate tournaments to better challenge our players and get them ready for the next level of play. Player development is our primary focus. We can and will develop players at every level while allowing kids the flexibility to be kids.
The value of participating in sports to learning values and skills associated with initiative, social cohesion, self-control, persistence, and responsibility are proven. A big part of positive youth development is complemented by the importance of sport in acquiring skills that are beneficial in other domains (e.g., school, family, work) that lead to better adaptive skills.
Lakeside Baseball Youth Sports Foundation is a federally recognized 501-3C. We are seeking sponsors to help defray the costs of our youth baseball programs and to further promote our objective to maintaining positive physical and mental development of area children.
